Despite knowing the answer he still asks, unable to shake the feeling that 'fun' radiates from every other competitor that sets their eyes on the Leader Board. If it wasn't for Kyle making out the plan prior, Fernando would've labeled their group with the same mindset, even if June was among the four of them that conquered the tower. He recognizes the ranger but Noah is a new addition, someone knows only by name and title.

"Well, let's get started."

Phase one involves Fernando's Girafarig using BEAT UP on Kyle's Poochyena. The numerous small Pokemon that Fernando keeps on him, such as his bracelet Comfey and Cutiefly take their turns love tapping the small pooch, triggering its RATTLED ability. The big brain move comes with instantly making the Pokemon jolt off at high speed in fear of the DARK TYPE attack.

maybe fernando was the answer since he isn't drunk like zack. on the other hand though, he's been stuck in his office more often than not so kyle wasn't quite sure how well his legs work in a sports event.

his poochyena gets rattled by the girafarig's attack, spooking him so much he goes from zero velocity to max speed in an instant. kyle watches as his pokemon quickly takes the lead.

"very fast," he comments before jogging as he follows after it.

his medicham PSYCHs itself UP. the pink headgear on its head remains remarkably sturdy on its head despite the fierce speed it borrows from the poochyena. known for their telepathy and intelligence, noah wonders how such a thing stays on its head with such a big brain.

"no, we're here to win, man!" noah hollers— but he quiets down, in case he blows out June Fair's eardrums. "so you better book it, dude!" noah says to FERNANDO SILPH.

his sneakers are white blurs. like smears of white acrylic, his sprint seems to match his pokemon— until his medicham pulls far ahead.

the track's turf burns hot with hoenn sun.

”Ya guys know we can be here for both, right?” June said, shrugging afterwards because she doubted either one of them was going to listen to her.

She had the Spinda she borrowed out and after Fernando’s Pokémon were done jumping the Poochyena, which admittedly was pretty funny looking, she had the normal type use PSYCHE UP to copy the Poochyena’s boost.

With that out of the way and her Spinda started moving she’d follow after. The way the Pokémon ran was really funny to watch as it bobbled sporadically.

[attr="class","spiral"]Fernando's Girafarig is well behind the others. And even further back is Fernando, trying his best to keep up with the galloping advantage the Pokemon has with four hooves. Unfortunately, any hopes he has of catching up are dashed once the Pokemon PSYCHES UP. Instead, he'll have to settle for catching up to the other three trainers, breathing rapidly as he picks up his speed once more.

whether or not they win was inconsequential at this point. they already started and there's nothing else that they could do to change the formula. the only thing left to do was to move forward, which his very fast poochyena was already doing.

the sight of the spinda's sprint tickles laughter from noah's throat. wind blows past his face, threatening to lift a generous slathering of sunscreen from his skin.

"your spinda," noah snickers.

whether the event is set before or after his course with dominic sinclair does not matter. the schema associates the clumsy choreography with intoxication of past and future.

noah makes it a contest of speed with his own medicham. he bolts forward to catch up to his elegant escort.
